This product did as advertised. Works well to subside heavy noises and allow for easy music listening. Used during my time working construction.

If you’re thinking of buying, LOOK AT ALL THE PICS! It has a very obvious mic that hangs down right at your mouth. I got these because they are similar to the earplugs provided at work and, were it not for the microphone, they would be perfect.

I use these at work to listen to podcasts and audio books but if your plan is to listen to music, I would not recommend these. The bass is just not there. The battery life is pretty good. I’ve been using these for several months now and I get 10hrs of listen time at about 70-75% volume no problem.

This is definitely a situation where the whole is greater than the sum of its combined parts. Definitely not Bose quality sound but when you need these, you need these and they do work great for what they are. There are some minor annoyances and imperfections but if your looking at these you probably need them for something specific and I think you will likely be very satisfied. Stated clearly, If you need earplugs with sound this is the ticket… if you just want earbuds or headphones look at earbuds and headphones, not these.

I’ve ordered my second pair because I wanted to leave a pair at work. I find traditional ear buds very uncomfortable so I love these as an alternative. Good battery life; no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

This is my second pair after the first pair lost audio in one side after 6 years of tough use and abuse. I not only would buy them again, I did. Please do follow the directions to reach behind your head and pull your ear back while inserting the earbud on each side. You’ll be glad you did.

They’re very comfortable, and have perfect sound quality. Great for using on a motorcycle, or at work on a construction site. I had my last pair for almost three years with regular use! Unfortunately I found out they don’t like washing machines, so don’t let that happen. The only real damage on that pair, as far as I could tell, is that the wires got loose going into the jack so it just made a poor connection. I’ve had my second pair for quite awhile. They work great, and I even caught them on a clip of a drill which tore the insulation. Little bit of tape to fix that, but they never quit working.

I bought these for my father who works in a metal fabrication factory. (he is still very new to technology but is coming along) I recently got him a ipod so he could listen to his music at our campground(Bluetooth speaker) and then he wanted to be able to listen at work but comply with OSHA. We look around and did not feel comfortable spending $80+ on headphones and they all seemed to have mixed reviews anyways. I got these for him for his birthday and he is in LOVE with them. First pair lasted about 1 year before he got the cord snagged on something and it ripped the cord from the ear bud, he requested to have the same pair as he loved them and work perfect for his environment, he liked trying both types of ear buds that came with it but the foam ones got very dirty very quickly and he prefers the silicone. we love the fact we can replace the silicone part as needed (anyone who works in a metal factory knows its dirty in there) The carry case that comes with them is very nice/sturdy and he likes that he has “storage” for them. Overall these are just awesome and give him freedom to listen to his music anywhere he wants to now! Highly recommend

I enjoy going to concerts and music festivals once in a while. The first time I went to a festival in Germany, I brought my army issued ear protection just in case. I’m glad I did. Every performance is different at a festival. Some bands have things set up all crazy where you’re in a cramped space with giant bass speakers that drown out the entire song and ruin the experience. Not only does it sound bad but it hurts the ears too. This was a band I really enjoyed on Spotify but hearing them live I thought I’d get hearing damage, even with basic cheapo ear protection. I got Plugfones because I’m getting back into live music now that restrictions are going away. Plugfones are actual earplug earphones, which is what you want when it comes to hearing protection. OSHA compliance and an NRR 22 safety rating give me the confidence that my hearing will be safe in those cramped venues where even if you’re in the back your hearing isn’t safe. And if there’s ever a band I’m crazy about playing and it’s all bass drowning out the melody, now I can sync up that same song on Bluetooth and enjoy watching the band upfront and live.

These are perfect to block out machinery noise and still allow you to enjoy music. Are they Bose quality? No however they are the only plugs I’ve found to shut out tractor noise and allow listening to music without the bulk or heat of a headphone set. Allows me to wear a hat to shade from the sun.

After using these for a few days, here are my thoughts. The sound is not amazing, but I knew that from the start by reading other reviews. I work around some fairly loud machinery, so being able to hear my surroundings when I need to is a plus. You have to fiddle with them to get the proper placement as they are just a bit oval in shape, but not much. I also have to put them in pretty far to hear them, depending on what music I’m listening to. The cord should be longer so that the controls and the counterweight will sit about where your breast bone is once you drape them around your neck. As it is, the controls and the weight sit about at my collar bone and sometimes pop out from under my neckline (t-shirt) at times, trying to reveal my secret. I wear one of those elastic face/neck coverings at work, so what I do now is tuck the control and weight inside of that just under my chin. I originally had a set of bluetooth earbuds with a charging case, but the left one died months ago and I just recently lost the right one at work and never found it. I intended to buy another set like that, but most have some kind of flashing light on it when paired or being used, so that won’t do. This will work for what you need it for, but at the expense of some minor annoyances like the ones i listed and the need to charge it with a micro usb cable, and the cord of course.

Worked great for a couple weeks, then the buttons quit working.

If you’re buying these for super great fidelity, you don’t understand what you really want here. These are so you can listen to music while you do loud stuff, like riding a motorcycle on the highway. And they work superbly for that. But if you’re thinking you’ll replace a good quality set of earbuds with these, no. They’re a little muddy in the sound quality department. But they do exactly what I want – give me a nice, low-volume music option while protecting my hearing from external noise.

I bought this on July 24 it’s September 18th. They don’t work no more. Great when they work. Good enough I’m buying another but they don’t last long.

I purchased two kinds here in amazon but I can only see the wired one. These are really great. I have the wireless ones as well. I get about 8 hours on them. The company started out great with the foam plugs but have continued to change the design. Every design change they made to the foam plugs they claim is better NRR rating but I don’t think so. The originals they went for a bell shape, then a twist rocket shape to the, current tiny stepped shape. I believe the only ones that are any good are the bell shape that they no longer make. The bell shape is the only style that fits my ears and provides the best protection. I don’t believe the other designs are any good. I get major sound leakage around the edge of my ear canals because I guess they are too small for proper snug fit. My ear canal is too big for them. So I’ll still use them as long as I have the bell shape plugs. But once those are gone I’ll stop using them. Sad really, best ear plugs for my job but we’re ruined by constant design changes to make more money.

I got these for low profile listening at work where plugs are required and buds are not allowed on the floor. So far so good. No one has noticed or said anything. If this is the use case you are looking for, these will probably work. You should know that 1. There is a yoke where the left and right “cords” join. This looks like what it is and would be obvious to anyone looking for shenanigans. 2. The cord is much much longer than any earplug cords ive ever seen. So as long as you can keep that from being seen, bobs your uncle. As to the sound quality, gotta say its really not bad. I have a pair of basic skullcandy buds that sound about the same and cost similar. So the price is about right for the sound quality. The bonus with these is that they retain a Noise Reduction Rating, which basically functions as noise cancellation, just passive and not active. Its pretty good about as good as the work supplied earplugs. Cant really complain for the most part. The build quality does feel about like it should for sub $20 earbuds. That is to say that its not top notch material, and its not gonna be a product sith a life span in years if its used regularly. At the price if i have to buy them 2 or three times a year because im rough on them, then to be able to have something to listen to 12 hrs a day, thats worth the price. This is one of their basic sets, they have higher quality ones with better build for a higher price but they dont really qualify as low profile as much as these do. Comfort, They are really comfortable. I work 12 hrs wearing them and they dont really bother my ears much. They are really soft. Theres a tendency to try to screw them in or twist them when inserting, I reccomend against this, it will drive them in but they tend to work their way back out some when you do it, which reduces the ear protection they offer. I dont want to damage my hearing, i just want music or talk during my otherwise overhelmingly noisy and boring day. They will pull out pretty easy if snagged or tugged on, so keep cord management in mind. Great purchase for the reason i got them. I turn the volume down really low, still hear about as much as i could with regular earplugs in and still have ear protection. Ticks all the boxes.

It is a much better build than the liberator. The mic is built into the controls which was a major problem with the liberator because it stuck out like a sore thumb for people trying to hide that they are using headphones (also the mic is the first place for the Liberators to fail). Unfortunately the sound quality of these are not as good. The bass is lacking but for people who work in noisy environments, this is really the only choice except for bone conduction headphones which sound even worst than these. They are decent and worth the $50 price. The Liberators are too fragile for the $99, these are much more hearty.

As plain-old earbuds, these rock. Having started to develop tinnitus, I’ve started being extremely cautious with my hearing and these allow me to listen to my music and hear the sound very clearly at even the absolute lowest volume. They do a really good job at blocking out mild to moderate noise; however, I hate to say that these did not meet my expectations for louder noises. My work involves me riding around on an old mower for hours on end. I suspect there’s something wrong with the muffler, because it is incredibly loud. Before purchasing this product, I would simultaneously wear both foam earplugs (rated at 30 NRR) and an old pair of earmuffs (current NRR unknown) to reduce the noise to a comfortable level. I expected the foam plugfones (rated here at 29 NRR) to perform comparably underneath my earmuffs, but they did not block out nearly as much noise as I expected them to. Fortunately, they still work really well at taking the edge off of some of the quieter, but still obnoxious tools, such as the hammer drill, vacuum, or orbital sander. Furthermore, as I previously stated, they’re still a really great pair of earbuds in quiet environments where ambient noise might block out some music at extremely low volumes. My only measurable complaint with this product is that the jack is “loose” in my music player. It’s not physically noticeable, but I’ll be listening to my music and all of a sudden I’ll only have sound in one ear. Giving the jack a twist or a bit of a wiggle alleviates the issue and so far I’ve only noticed it happening once every listening session (usually between 3-6 hours). I have no regrets with this purchase, but if I were to make it again, I would probably see if I could have better luck with a different, similarly-priced product.

Best Buy for the money hands down. Use these for mowing on the tractor. I’ve tried head phones but with sun glasses and a hat it just don’t work, not to mention my ears melt from the heat and sweat. They work just as good as a set of 400.00 head phones without the side effects. If a tree branch rips them off and you ruin them – no biggie! For 20 bucks get another pair! You’ll cry for a week doin that to a set of Bose!

The battery life is good and the cable is long enough to put under the safety helmet. Performance may be differ from which khind of music you listen. For me I love rock and this thing did a pretty amazing job. Only downside is when not listening to music you mught hear some outside noise than normal safety earplug.

I got these minutes before I went on a ride and decided I’d have to love em or hate em for two hours. Packaging is easy open and they have a wire tie holding them together. Putting them in is easy, especially because I have some 3m silicone plugs myself. These are actually easier to get in and out. I haven’t tried the foamy yet. Over all the comfort is an 8 of 10 (flanges). I can tell they’re in, and maybe one wasn’t seated well, so it gave me the slightest inclination that it may be digging in, but it never did, and I had no stinging sensation upon removing them characteristic of the flanges digging in. I would wear these everyday without worry about comfort. . The helmet didn’t affect the plugs at all. The sound is surprisingly excellent. 7 of 10. It’s not Bose Quietcomfort 20i but I could hear my music and every note and lyric, no matter my speed or wind, and it was blustery on my ride. I listen to a lot of EDM and even the bass delivery was respectable for being plugs. I ride a liter bike with stock exhaust and a full helmet I will definitely purchase some replacement flanges or foamies once I try both and decide, but I love these things. Short of a 200 dollar pair of earplugs, these will work just fine. UPDATE: After a couple months I’ve decided I really like the foamy plugs better (10 of 10 comfort). They seal better and are extremely comfortable. The digging I was scared of ended up being just that. A bit of digging in the left ear. Not a huge deal, but enough that I decided to only reorder foamies. (probably more my ear shape than a universal issue.) I keep the flanges though, as back up. The foamies last a while, too. I’m running this first set ragged waiting on the replacements, but they still seat and stay without any issue. I really can’t stress that for what you pay and what they do, the sound on these is really good. I wont ride without these at this point, even without music playing. They are excellent at just dulling the wind and engine noise and make the ride down right quiet and relaxing.

I bought these for when I mow. My other earbuds just can’t cut it. I hesitated because everybody said that they were not good for small ears. I found that if you work with him a little bit you can get them in tight. Are they as good as earmuffs No, but they are earbuds…. I am now I happily able to ride around on my mower and not miss any podcasts! I’m a happy camper

I bought a pair of these back in 2016 or 2017 and loved them. I drive a forklift in a factory and the little paper that comes with them rate them for 26 Decibels. OSHA fined my company for a noise violation in 2018 and we were required to build sound proof (resistant) walls around certain machinary to knock the noise pollution down and we were required to were earbuds AND ear muffs as well until the walls were produced. I only ever wore these headphones and I couldn’t ear much of anything. They for sure work well. The audio quality that comes through is clear and great quality. As far as the durability goes, I get them caught on the forklift straps and controls fairly often and get them ripped out of my ears and I just ordered a second pair of these a few days ago. They last for ever. Mine finally gave out after a little over 3 years right around where you plug it into the phone jack. More than likely where I sit on that portion of the wire and rub it constantly where im getting on and off the truck during 12 hour shifts. I 100% recommend these for anyone who wants a set of noise cancelling headphones. No need to buy $300 head phones to cancel out noise when these work amazing.

I got these for wearing under my motorcycle helmet. I love them. Putting the helmet on or taking it off doesn’t move the plugs at all. Even though the NRR is rated at 26db, to my ears it seems like my 23db NRR earmuffs. The plugfones cut out a good chunk of wind noise, but I can just still hear my motorcycle’s engine and things going on around me. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing is that I wish I had spent the money and got the bluetooth ones instead.

I have two motorcycle helmets, a Nolan N104 and a Schuberth C3 pro. I use a Sena 20s on both, the Nolan was so damn loud at 70mph, I could barely hear anything. The C3pro is quietest helmet made, with Plugphones my Nolan is quieter and I can hear everything at 80mph. I now pulled the speakers out of the C3P and went with plug phones for that helmet as well. When putting them in my ears, I wet the plug phones with my finger and no need to compress them, they slide right in! They Don’t have the bass some other earbuds do, but in noisy environments, the price is right and you won’t do much better than these.

Of course they do not sound like expensive headphones but they do not sound distorted and they do not stay behind in my opinion.. Great Product . 5 Stars

Even a Harley with stock pipes is noisy enough to render real high quality sound pointless. But, the sound quality combined with the noise cancellation of plugphones definitely yields a good enough listening experience to improve the pleasure of riding out on the open roads of the High Plains. Make sure it is legal in your state if you are planning to be motoring with these in your ears. You can certainly hear sirens through those noise reduction phones, but you may not be able to convince Johnny Law or The Man of that.

I wear them in a factory and they cancel the noise really well. I can take a call and be able to hear what someone is saying on the phone.

Good little look-alikes! Used these at my workplace to inconspicuously listen to music. I would use these and run the cord down my shirt to a Bluetooth dongle with a clip that I could clip to my pants. I wear longer shirts to make sure the dongle is covered as I work. Used these for several years, only a really close co-worker has found out when they went to mess with my earplugs. My main complaint is that they’re kind of hard to grip by the base when they’re in my ears. It makes me want to pull them out by the cord, which broke my first set. They made my ears a bit sore using them at first, but I got used to them. Went through 6-8 pairs using them 9 hours a day/5 days a week for about 4 years. Pretty good product overall.

First things first, of course when you are working and using these on a very regular basis, they will wear out and they will start to break. I dont know why people expect $16 ear buds to last forever even after daily use and being used in work environments. Chances are that if you need ear plugs, you are working in a place that requires physical labor or using machinery and alot of things can happen. I work in a production plant and I bought these headphones to blend in at work and so far, speaking face to face with my supervisor and also the plant manager with these in and music playing, they were both oblivious to their true purpose. I also bought these since they were the cheapest option and i wanted to see if the bluetooth pair would be an investment that id like to take. So far, that answer is yes. These headphones sound great, and with them being 50% “earplugs”, i can use these at low volumes while being able to hear the music clearly with minimal background noise. The materials used for these headphones are nice and silky soft rubber which are super comfortable and can be worn for hours without becoming uncomfortable or irritating. They also come with foam tips, but i havent used them because i feel like they would get dirty very quickly. I use these with the Apekx bluetooth adapter which is also very convenient and sleek, but thats for a different review. These headphones do not have a microphone or volume controller on them, but you get what you pay for. These are basic headphones without any bells and whistles but they are also made of great materials with great sound quality and they do a great job of drowning out the background noise. They come with a convenient carrying case which is good for prolonging the lifespan of these headphones. These were a great purchase and i will be buying the bluetooth pair.

Where I work my boss has banned me from using headphones, completely ignoring the fact that they actually HELP me focus and work more efficiently. These have been a lifesaver. They seem to trick the fascist fool and have withstood the harsh environment that I work in. I even accidentally sent them through the wash and they still work. For the same money you can probably get better sound quality out of a normal pair, so you’re definitely paying for the camouflage. They fit more comfortably than normal earplugs, too.

I bought these so I could listen to music, etc. while shredding, plowing, and planting. They keep out enough sound to allow that while the tractor is idling, but once I crank up and go the tractor noise increases to the point that I would have to BLAST the music to hear it and I don’t want to blow out my hearing. I’m going to try wearing earmuffs over these and see if that works. I would say for the use I intended, these are good but not great.

I am a GEneral Contractor and need the ability to have hands free conversations and block out job site noise. These do a great job. This is my 2nd set first one lasted about a year of everyday use which is better than most bluetooth devices in a harsh environment.

If i could give this product 6 stars I would. The volume can go so high it HURTS, far louder than any of my other earbuds. They do work as normal ear plugs without music playing. But, MOST IMPORTANTLY, the buttons and battery are far enough down the wire i can easily hide them in my T-shirt! My supervisor can suck a ****!

I liked the silicone buds much better than the foam ones. The noise canceling was acceptable with the silicone but not the foam.. I even tried using head muffs over the plugs when using a skid loader at full throttle.. I would not use these alone for loud noises.

I’ve been using these for 3 months now, and to be honest the Plugfones brand is better than I thought it would be. The evil corporate overlords decided that we can no longer have radios or ear buds, but I like listening to podcasts during the day. They look exactly like normal earplugs. The bass isn’t as deep as other earbuds, but it’s not bad and overall I think the sound quality is very good. You would need bigger magnets for deeper bass which in turn would defeat the purpose of these. I work in a very loud metal fabrication plant, and these earbuds provide proper hearing protection. Depending how much I use them, the battery will make it on a 8 hour shift. I top them up on my charger during lunch break anyway. I’ve pulled them out of my ears during conversation with my supervisor, he doesn’t know the difference. The battery and volume control are noticable if visible, but if they’re under your collar or shirt you’ll be fine. The rubber ear inserts aren’t replaceable, I use alcohol wipes to clean them. At first I thought the price was too high, but for the enjoyment I get while being at work, it’s worth it to me. To appear as being hearing protection, the wires are small, so be careful with them. Other than that, I’m very happy so far. Update, 8/3/21 … I’m on my 2nd pair due to warranty replacement. The left channel went bad and I could barely hear anything in the right. The seller made it right, I’m a little over a month and a half in with the new pair. So far so good.

Sound quality isn’t the best for $50 earbud but you know why you want to buy these. I talked to my manager with these on and he just assumed they where standard Earplugs. And That is the whole point of these, Honestly these make my 12 hour shift feel like 10 hours because of all the audio books I listen to. They last for about 10 hours but I also have an External Battery Pack it use to charge these some more over lunch to get me another 1.5 to 2 hours. TAKE GOOD CARE OF THESE, trust me. If you do long shifts or listen to machine noise all day long these are a blessing.

We have a farm and feedlot operation. My husband needed hearing protection and earbuds. These were literally half the price that the local store wanted but the exact brand and quality. He wears these in the shop to listen to talk radio and while grinding hay. The battery has a long life and so far they have held up to all the dirt and abuse he gives them.

I never liked headphones before. My ear holes were too small or something. These are such a blessing for work, as I’m running errands, or even while I garden! I get to create my own little vibe without encroaching on anyone else’s ears lol. Gratzy

These earplugs are one of the best things to ever happen in my life I have really sensitive hearing, and didn’t even know it until I started using these. My sleep has really improved as a result of using the full-protection set, along with being able to focus better with the filtered set. They have good instructions in the box about how to put them in. If you put them in, and find that they don’t really have an effect on your hearing; you probably didn’t put them in right, because these definitely work, and are deigned to work with virtually any ear canal size. Another perk of these earplugs over others is that you get two different kinds, and two different tip types in one package, while the same price will only get you one set from another manufacturer that is probably priced Higher than this one. The tips are guaranteed to work for years, unless you do something to harm them directly; sturdy stuff them tips. Hope this review helps the customer, and the manufacturer. Have a wonderful day!

I ordered these a year ago and they were fantastic. They lasted 12 hour shifts at work and were great for noise cancellatiom. Ordering a new pair now, they’ve only gotten better since my last purchase a year ago. The foam tips were improved and it came with this rubber channel to keep them around your neck which wasn’t a thing when I ordered before. Mine were always loose and I needed something else to keep them from falling off my neck. I don’t quite remember but it feels like they also included more rubber tips this time around too which I was always preferential to. I would always recommend them before but I didn’t know about the new changes until now.

I love these ear plug headphones. However, this is my third pair in a year and a half. I wear them everyday so I get a lot of use, but paying $30 roughly every 6 months is getting old. These earplugs allow me to listen to audiobooks, music, and even TV at work. With amazon prime you can download shows directly to your phone so you can watch them offline later. I have watched HOURS and HOURS of TV with these earplugs. Well mostly listen, but some watching. I bought a Bluetooth receiver and run the plugfone wires down my back inside my shirt with it plugged into my Bluetooth receiver and the receiver in my back pocket so everything is hidden from everyone else. I am an aircraft sheet metal mechanic( I repair airplanes). I actually work harder because I am not goofing off somewhere else and I can work while I listen and glance over at the phone. That’s what I enjoy about them but there are some issues I have with them as well. The earplug portion of the plugs are fairly decent at blocking the sound but they are not quite as good as real earplugs. Since the plastic speaker goes deep into the foam, as it must, it makes it difficult to push deep into your ear. My biggest problem with them though would be that I am having to buy new ones every 6 months because one side will short out and quit working or worse start working intermediately. That’s a lot of money on earplugs! Like I said though I wear them a lot, 5 days a week, 8 hours or more a day. You have to decide if it is worth it for you. Other than that they sound great and are plenty loud for my shop which can get very loud!

Product looks exactly like the photo. I would give it 5 stars, if not for the battery life. The battery only lasts about 8 hours. I work a 12 hour shift and can’t charge them. So they don’t fully fulfill their purpose since I can use them for part of my shift.

Ok Ive had my pair for almost a year (You purchased this item on April 20, 2018.), still work no damage and Im not gentle with them, I work with heat and welding metal all day long. My only disapproval is is the battery life which states 12, at first it did last up to 15 but over the past years its continuously dropped to around a little less then 8. Also there is this weird noise thats like a cd skipping that happens randomly the only way to clear it is to turn them off and turn them back on and reconnect, on one occasion it wouldnt shut off I have to plug it in to get it to reset but tricking it my charging it for 5 second then start then back up, thats happened once so far. I still have the original ear plugs it came with they have seen better days but over all I use then everyday up to 8 hrs a day and 5 days a week. I cant complain cause they have worked well for me. I keep seeing reviews about they break after a month or even a week, what the hell are you people doing with them? Using them as a rope to swing across caverns. My single complaint is the battery life, and being that its been almost a year Im sure its no longer covered under any warranty

4.5 stars: After 1 month, one side starting cutting out after 10-60min of use. No amount of manipulation of the plug or wiring affects the issue. After 20min unplugged, they start working but would cut out again after a time. Until this started happening I really loved them for noise reduction, comfort, and clear audio in the noisy conditions I use them in. For the price, they fully met my expectations. The manufacturer’s website has a clear 180day warranty policy so I submitted the replacement request form provided. I’ll update the review once I determine their resolution. Update: the manufacturer responded a couple days after submitting my replacement request. They asked me to fill out form and email pics of the form along with my plugfones. They immediately responded saying a replacement was shipped – which I received about 4 days later. Very happy with the responsiveness. I’ll report back if the new ones have any issues.

Works as expected. I wear them when I ride my motorcycle. At highway speeds really can’t hear music very well, though. These are better than skull candy which do not block out as much noise and do not stay in my ears as well as the plugfones while wearing my helmet on the bike. Sound quality is only so-so but adequate with iPhone set to small speakers. With gloves on the buttons on the controller are not that easy to activate. Would like left and right indicators on the earpieces.

I plug these into a Cardo helmet com system instead of the crappy sounding, too quiet helmet speakers, that you can’t hear at all if you wear traditional earplugs. These are probably 80 percent as good as foam earplugs and cutting noise, and music/spoken word comes through loud and clear. They stay in place, and being nothing protrudes from your ear but the wire, donning/doffing your helmet doesn’t yank them out or cause pain as I found with many other earbuds. However, I’ve found they’re good for about a year. possibly all the helmet on/off stresses the wire, since that’s where it seems to break. One bud will start cutting in and out unless the wire is positioned just so. I ride 15-20k a year, and the most recent pair just started having this issue, almost a year on the dot. I had a similar experience with the Liberate Bluetooth version, but those are a lot more expensive to replace. $25 once a year isn’t the end of the world, but I’d happily pay a little more for an upgraded/tougher cord.

I bought these to replace the speakers on my Cardo Pactalk Slim while riding my motorcycle. Speakers inside your helmet really don’t do well if you have a loud bike or when the speeds get higher. There’s just to much ambient noise inside your helmet. These fit snugly in my ear. They do a good job of blocking out noise but still allow me to hear other riders over the network clearly, listen to music or make a phone call well above legal speeds. I’ve been using them for almost a year now and will never use speakers in my helmet again. The sound quality is so much better.

They definitely sound better then their corded model. Battery lasts forever too which is awesome. Only problem I had with mine was one of the buds came apart when I first got it. I pushed it back together cause I didn’t want to go through that hassle of returning it and so far so good it’s held up fine. Honestly with safety oriented jobs sites these things have changed my life. God forbid safety sees you wearing headphones but they absolutely love it when you have hearing protection in!

this is my second plugfones – i use them during the night as i listen to books or watch movies, i have also used when doing yard work. My first set lasted about 8 years

Let me start by saying, I’ve purchased MANY earbuds over the years and I’ve hated every one of them. For whatever reason, they’ve never fit right. They would either fall out or I couldn’t hear the music very well because they didn’t fit, no matter what I did. Because earbuds would be so convenient, I decided to give these a shot. After all, they’re a little different than typical earbuds. I almost can’t believe it, they’re perfect for me. 1. I prefer the rubber tip over the foam but they’re both good. 2. They come with a convenient (small) carrying case. 3. The sound quality is equal to any decent earbud style headphones. In my case it’s infinitely better because I can actually use them and hear the music. 4. Since they’re made just like normal ear plugs, they do a great job cancelling outside noise. If you like to listen to music while you mow the lawn, these are the headphones for you. I can’t speak to their durability as I haven’t had them long. If any problems arise I will edit this review. Overall, I seriously couldn’t be happier. Even if they don’t last long, I’ll just buy another pair. They’re that perfect for me. The bluetooth version would be even better but I just couldn’t spend the 100$ on them. Instead, I use the bluetooth device I plug into the stereo in my truck. Simply plug the headphones into the bluetooth thing (I can’t recall the name), and pair to it. There you go, instant bluetooth headphones.

These are great for riding motorcycles only down side is that the ear plugs might not fit you well if you have lil ears, would be cool if they was a lil louder but they are clear when you ride and stay in place I only used them three times so far will do an update if they break or anything in the near future but if you been look for good sound quality while riding this have been the best solution so far and trust me I spent thousands to find the perfect solution and other down side you might get a full 6 hours of listening time so get two pair if you ride far, the quality could also be better more rugged

I work in a plastic factory during 12 hour shifts or not allowed to listen to to music. I used to get by by day dreaming all night but I can’t do that all the time. So listening to music Podcast or audio books helps pass the time.

I bought these headphones to wear beneath my helmet while motorcycling. If you, like me, don’t want or can’t afford to spend hundreds on a Cardo or Sena unit for your helmet, this is an excellent budget alternative. The audio quality is surprisingly clear, with both treble and bass coming through very distinctly. The earplugs function excellently to filter wind noise, without interfering unduly with ability to maintain situational awareness (hearing horns, sirens, etc). They’re quite comfortable, even beneath a helmet, for over an hour at a time. I have found that after about an hour and a half of riding, my ears begin to get a little sore from the pressure, but this is the case with every pair of Bluetooth earbuds I’ve ever worn. The only downside that I have identified with the product is the fact that when on the road, the very small control buttons are nearly impossible to use while riding, especially if you tuck the body of the headphones into your shirt/jacket. My remedy for this issue was initially to mount my phone to my handlebars, and switch songs or change volume by hand. However, I eventually settled on using a Bluetooth controller (JBL Click) for fully remote, one handed control of the phone, and by extension, the headphones. This solution cost me a total of about $80 for the JBL Click unit and the headphones themselves.

I work long work shifts, standing, listening to the constant, repetitive THUMP THUMP HISSSSSS THUMP of the machine…. Not sure why jobs have a vendetta against just having ANY kind of music playing on a radio (one job I had did this, production was great- when they took them out because some nut changed the station), it’s been downhill since. Now these earbuds aren’t bass heavy (very tinny) but heck it’s WAY BETTER than hearing the machine or yapping coworkers talk about how many kids they have or their questionable rap career. They look just like the job issued freebies. If there was to be an improvement to the design, I would say where the two buds connect, they could’ve made a faux clip, making it look like you have these clipped to your shirt. As is they just “disappear” into my shirt. Also you can still hear alarms, and such as you would with regular ear protection earbuds. And these do protect your ears from loud sounds irregardless.

PROS: Build quality, sound quality, comfort, battery life, ease of use, price. CONS: None OPPORTUNITIES: An app to manage the device with battery-remaining info, sound/equalizer settings, etc. would be a nice addition.

These are great at work and no one knew I was using them. One downfall was I can’t get orange replacement foam pieces except through the company. I did so but the mail person delivered them at the wrong address somi never received them. I’d rather go through amazon as I know they will get it to me.

These are extremely comfortable keeps noise of lawnmowers leave blowers even the printing press where I work to a minimum comfortable level. The sound quality for music is exceptional and voice quality is fantastic.

I work on a lot of jobs requiring ear protection and i always like to listen to music while i work (hydrovac excavation) and many pipelines won’t let you wear earbuds. These work not only as great earbuds/plugs they also look enough like normal earplugs I’ve never been caught. 10/10 would buy again

Hearing protection is required at my work. And to have a product that both protects my hearing and provides my personal music is incredible!!! The only reason I gave 3 stars on Durability/Material was because I just received the product today. After work. The test will be tomorrow and then on out. The sound is amazing! For $25! Normally I would expect no low frequencies (bass) from earbuds this small. Ha! Not these bad boys! Excellent tonal range! If your job requires or is aided by hearing protection; this will be the best $25 you’ll ever spend!!!!!! Just use common sense when handling these ear plugs! Don’t pull from the wires! Either on the plugs themselves or the jack. They’ll short eventually! Get your money out of them and rock it out at work!!!😁😁😁

I work in construction as a Pipefitter/Plumber. I work around Sheetrockers and Sheetmetal workers. It’s so loud sometimes it makes me want wish I had an office job…*cringe*…then I remember these little beauties are hanging around my neck just waiting for me to put them to work too. Noise cancelling; check. Music; check. Calls; check. I’ve had several expensive string-type ear buds that have fallen off and gotten destroyed within days of me buying them…then I found these babies. Thank you Amazon for bringing these into my life!!!

Good for motorcycle riding and fits snug in helmet. Will pull off time to time when turning your head and sound quality is decent. Doesn’t have a bass driver but music is clear in the treble. Cut a lot of wind noise to safe levels and if music is high enough you cant hear much. Wires will hurt overtime of you don’t give enough slack under the helmet other than that it’s awesome. I accidentally washed then and dried then and they still worked great!

Sound is good, they don’t cancel out the sound as good as a normal ear plug, but they will help cut down on shop noise. My personal experience is to buy a Bluetooth receiver on Amazon for $10 and plug the ear buds into it. They are stealthy and do not have all the extra addons so they look like legit chorded ear plugs.

I bought these specifically for the in-line media controller as an upgrade for my last set of Plugfones. They keep your ears from hurting after riding the lawnmower for a few hours, yet you can still listen to your music at a reasonable volume. (Standard in-ear headphones you’d need to have the music loud enough to damage hearing to muffle out the exhaust noise.) My only complaint would be the placement of the buttons. They are close to the plug end of the wire rather than up near the microphone like other headsets I’ve had. Also, I believe the buttons should be spaced out a bit for my application. Trying to use them while wearing gloves, you’ll bump an adjacent button more than once. There’s a minus (volume down), a plus (volume up), and a circle. The circle, press once for play/pause. Press twice in succession for next track. Press three times in succession to repeat current track. (Or three times, and then immediately again three times to go to previous track.) Trying to double-tap for next song while bouncing down the lawn, I usually nudge volume up or down at least once.

For the price, I didn’t expect much from these headphones, at all. I was pleasantly surprised though. The sound quality is not great, but it’s also good enough that after a few minutes of listening you somewhat stop paying attention to the imperfection; I’ve paid far more for worse sound, without the outside noise reduction. I wear them while I mow, and they work, plain and simple. These could likely be improved with better speaker tech and some additional insulation against outside noise, but they do they job and I would definitely buy them again if I had to do it over again.

matches my companies color scheme for ear pro. Very happy. We will see if they hold up to the abuse of a steel yard. Good clear sound low or high. It’s nice to be able to listen to a podcast or a song and still be able to communicate clearly with coworkers and management. Breaks up the dull monotonous drone work of manual labor.

These are nice. They’re not made any better than a normal pair of headphones. Where I work these are no issue. Not very discreet, they have a black Mic Box (dumb). The foam tips didnt work at all. You really gotta work them in, might hurt a little but it’s worth it.

I work at a machine shop, I’m historically rough with inexpensive things like these headphones or buds or whatever you want to call them AND I rarely write reviews. These stupid little ear plug fakers are GREAT! Despite the tiny gauge wire which I constantly tug on, they have yet to spark out on me even once! Look, for the price, get a set, can’t beat it!

I got this so I can listen to music when I ride, At 80 MPH it cut’s out a lot of wind noise and I can hear the music with out turning it up. It’s a very basic system but it works well.

Bought for motorcycle use. Its only been a few weeks. But so far they work great. Alot more bass then i expected. My only minor complaint is the wire connecting them together is rather long. The battery is good. They are comfortable. They fit under my full face helmet, without popping out of my ears when i put helmet on. The wind and engine noise are muted like traditional earplugs. The sound is loud and pretty darn good.

these are wonderful how they are two in one so I can work to protect my ears and listen to music or podcasts while I work. they are very durable and you change the tips out too. I love these.

Headphones work great. Much better sound than the older versions. I’m a welder/pipe fitter and unfortunately I have to do a lot of grinding at my current job. Even when using a 7 inch grinder I can still hear the music but get the benefits of the -25 decibels that the plugs provide. The reason for the four star instead of a five star rating is they could have made the plug that connects your device a little more sturdy. The sheath that covers the 90 degree angled plug was not glued the the wire. I think that this might have mad one side fail. This really needs to be addressed. But for now it’s the only way I can listen with headphones at work because headphones are not allowed 😉

Purchased for my husband as an alternative to wearing larger noise cancellation muffs while using a chainsaw, mowing, etc. He came in to tell me to get him a backup pair because they’re so awesome. They are not quite the equal of large expensive muff-style protection but pretty close, and so much more convenient than the big ones. Maybe I’ll order a pair for myself for his deep snoring nights…

This is my third pair of these headphones they are good quality for the money you pay and I work in them and I do strenuous work so they do get wear and tear and eventually one of the ears will go out after about three months or so and I just order another pair

They work, but are a little too fat to fit comfortably in my small ear canals. I wear the small size tips on other earbuds. If you wear medium or large you’ll be fine.

These earbuds are good and blend in well as ear plugs, but it is high treble and not much bass. No problems with them otherwise.

Bought these to replace the original plugfones because those broke on me after 4 years. The new model works well but not as well as the old ones. -These ones don’t quite match the color of our earplugs at work (3M yellow and blue) the old ones were spot on -It seems like these aren’t as loud as the old ones although they are still plenty loud for factory work. I find myself having to turn them down to have a conversation however, I still hear Hilo traffic fine. -These work with the tips from the old style which is good if you have leftover tips. -Noise muffling is on par with normal earplugs even with the music off. -it seems like these ones aren’t as sturdy however they haven’t broke yet. Will update of these last shorter than 4 years.

You get what you pay for. You shouldn’t expect brand name sound quality out of them but has the perfect volume in my opinion. I work in loud areas and it blocks the sound pretty good. Hard to hear what your listening to in very loud areas. Battery is surprisingly good. I haven’t had any BT connection issues at all.

Best accessory for motorcycle riders! If you have several helmets but only want one device to listen to music as well as block out wind noise, this is the best option. Battery lasts forever and the sound quality is excellent. If you ride a motorcycle, you need this!

I mean these aren’t beats or anything but they definitely get the job done and help me through my long shifts at night. No one even questions my ear plugs! One side shorted out a week in but I’m almost 2 months in with them and the one side working actually isn’t bad since I have to hear my work radio anyways

For years, I’ve struggled with finding headphones that actually work inside of my full-face motorcycle helmet … until now. These are without question the only headphones that allow you to hear your music on a bike without having to be so loud that you’re most likely damaging your hearing. Be careful though that you don’t get in the habit of having the volume too loud. Don’t adjust it based on feel. Set a maximum number of bars on your volume setting and don’t go above it. I recommend adjusting the volume before your ride. As these headphones go into the ear, they can also be dangerous to your hearing. I would say that I wear these on my bike sans music as often as with. They still provide much needed decibel reduction from damaging wind roar, and if I get a critical notification on my phone for work, I know to pull over and deal with it. In addition, these are the only headphones I’ve been able to wear while running. Every other pair I’ve ever had fall out after about 50 feet. The only thing is that it is a little weird to lock out the surrounding noise while you run. It can make you feel a bit like you’re under water. Your foot falls and breathing can get a little loud inside your head, if you know what I mean. But they are still the best exercise headphones I’ve ever had. I will say that I have a couple of caveats, hence the 4 stars and not five. First, they are still fairly cheap headphones. My first pair were the executive style and I loved them. But my arm caught the cord once while jogging and pulled the wires right out of the 3.5 mm jack. I’ve read other reviewers say the same thing happened to them. He next pair I tried I found at a local hardware store and they were the orange and blue construction variety. These were completely different quality than the executive. On this pair, every vibration of the cord was sent directly into my ear drum. I hated them and ripped them to pieces in anger in the middle of a run. ? But then I bought another pair of the executive type and all is well again. So, I am $60 in on these cheap earbuds at this point. But obviously the second pair is my own fault. Stick with the executive style and I think you’ll be pleased. Ultimately, these are a niche little product and probably not for everyone. If you care about protecting your hearing though, and you’re comfortable putting earplugs in, these just might be the best headphones you’ve ever owned. Okay, one final thing I’ll say and warning, this is a little gross. But these headphones keep my ears from getting excessive ear wax buildup. Which means, at first, you’re probably going to see a lot of it come out on your ear buds. But over time this gets better and weirdly, using the earbuds is now how I keep my ears clean. So, be prepared for that. I warned you it was going to be gross.

The rubber or foam inserts are very effective in blocking sound. I frequently take walks near a highway with semi trucks and other noisy traffic and I can comfortably listen to podcasts while doing so. I’ve previously unsuccessfully tried several brands looking for sound blocking capability. Several years ago there was a brand, Blockade, that were effective and very similar but they’ve been discontinued and they were exorbitant. The rubber and foam inserts are removable from the speaker of the plugs and earwax is easily cleaned by rinsing in hot tap water. I’m no audiophile and primarily listen to podcasts but I do find the sound quality very good. I’m had no endurance or quality problems with these after a few months. I’m purchasing a spare pair today.

Im not even sure if there is a mic. During meetings on my laptop they can only hear me when Im near the laptop and not when I step away- this is crippling during troubleshooting experiences with OEM support techs and you need to step away from a charging laptop to check a device and report whats happening without walking all the way back to the laptop. The range is very impressive for the bluetooth signal I will agree. Thats the only issue Ive had for these over the year I have had them. Just now considering alternatives for meeting purposes.

These are the best ear phones and also pretty great as ear plugs. Many earbuds don’t stay in my ears and they’re hard and uncomfortable. These are the only ones that really work for me. I can sleep in them too. It’s important to clean them with alcohol after using.

This item worked as described, but be forewarned that the 3.5mm connector is the first thing to mess up. Had mine less than 2 weeks, and I need to use my square deal return that I purchased already. I haven’t yanked on or abused them in any way. The bluetooth model is so expensive, but it may be the best solution if you have to have PlugFones.

Good swap look-a-like ear plug. Walk around a factory where we cannot wear ear buds but must have a ear plug that is OSHA approved. These gave been noticed by some and I have been reported, but o believe that is my fault for turning them off and on walking out the door at end of shift. Great sound quality and does a better job of canceling out noise than that of their counter part without the ear bud speakers!!! I’ve been using them for a year and have left them in my work jeans twice in the washer and dry and they work just as well as before.

I read several bad reviews on these but I have had zero problems with them. It’s nice being able to listen to things while I’m working, and no one seems to know the difference between these and the disposable plugs! I’d say they are worth the money. Sounds quality is as good as some name brand earbuds I’ve used. Just make sure the speaker is well inserted in the earplug body and they’re great.

They definitely block out the outside noise, sound of music is great through them. Only downside is after a couple months of use one side or the other cuts out. Still block out noise but you get no music sound. Have bought 4 pairs now 3 of the 4 this has happened to the 4th ones I haven’t used yet. This happens to other coworkers as well. These definitely don’t last a long time but do work good for the price

They look just like regular earplugs and actually sound really good. However my first pair broke within only a few weeks. However I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement no questions asked. My current pair is going strong. Would recommend, but be aware it’s possible they may not last you very long. But again, they were replaced without issue.

I bought these in May 2016. I’ve used them under a motorcycle helmet and they worked well, though they got pulled out of my ears when taking off the helmet. I wear them while mowing or edging the lawn, though again, sometimes they get caught and ripped out of my ears. I keep them wrapped up in my purse with no bag and pretty often the buds come off the wire. I’ve also used them underneath ear-muffs while wood working. I’ve found that “bed phones” work far better for this because they’re flat and bluetooth. Now, one of the ears has stopped transmitting sound unless I hold the wire in a very specific way. I was just going to switch to regular headphones because I use bedphones for most everything now (and they’re bluetooth). But when I remembered that I use them for lawn work, there’s not really another option. I’ll search for a bluetooth version of these in the spring.

I was concerned that my very tight helmet would rip these out when I put it on. No worries. They stay in, they do a good job of playing music while I ride. I don’t need to crank the volume up while riding. What I can comfortably hear while standing still works fine while moving on the bike. The helmet actually smashes them more into your ears, so they become slightly louder when worn under your helmet.

Good quality, great sound, a little big for my ears but you can change the foam tips so I will be doing that with smaller ones. Overall great purchase. Battery life is enough for a regular 8hr shift.

So Im a welder in a factory, I work 8+ hours a day. I wear these all day everyday. I usually get 6 months out of a pair before one side goes out. If it wasn’t for plugfones. I’d probably quit my boring repetitive job a long time ago. The quality gets better with each pair. Now days the audio quality is comparable to skull candy. My first pair sounded like they came from dollar tree. I got a whole year out of my last pair. My first pair only lasted 3 months. I often wear them when doing projects at home, mowing, or riding my motorcycle. They absolutely protect your hearing when you wear properly. I can’t say I recommend the for riding a motorcycle. The length of the Bud gets pushed to the side under the helmet and can be uncomfortable but they do cut down on the noise significantly.

Perfect for people who have to wear earplugs for work! They dont even notice i have earphones in.

Nobody can tell these are headphones. they look like regular ear plugs, I bought a little blue tooth adapter for it.

it worked about 4 months without a problem. 12 hour work shifts, in my ears all night. Its definitely worth the $20.00. When you see everyone looking depressed but you can smile and enjoy an audiobook during grueling repetitive work it makes you very thankful for these “plugfones”. Anticipate the wiring to eventually work themselves out if you’re doing manual work and occasionally get the wires caught on things and yanking… probably not safe letting the wires dangle, better to tuck them in your shirt if using heavy machinery. But I’m buying more and will continue. Might strip the sleeve and solder the wiring back… anyways… great investment… listen to audiobooks at work 🙂 get smarter while doing dummy work.

Ordered these for my husband and he likes them. He says they are extremely noise canceling and he only hears what’s coming through the headphones.

Sounds good cord is long enough to hide it so your boss won’t see it

I’ve used these headphones for over 5 years now. I work in a factory and they help save my hearing. I wear them at work, at home (mowing the lawn or using machinery), even on hikes. I use them every day for hours. The battery is great. The sound is great. I mostly listen to books, but sometimes music. I can wear them and have a conversation with people without issues. They come with 2 tip options. I use the silicone ones and I never have any problems with ear aches or headaches. I wear them for 5-8 hours a day, at least 5 days a week. I used to leave them in my car to charge and so I wouldn’t forget them, but the heat and cold caused the wire to come apart by the earpiece after like a year. These are so worth the money. I love that they have a cord connecting them so I can take them out of my ear whenever I need to and not have to worry about losing one. Excellent customer service too. Fantastic product.

This was a very good concept. At first, these were perfect and I was so much happier at work. I think they work a bit TOO good because while it plugs out all the loud noise, my supervisors and co-workers can’t talk to me without having to repeat themselves 5 times or having to pull out one or both plugs to hear them. Sometimes I would pull them out, and I think that is how I ran into some issues. These are fragile, and one of the plugs stopped working and stopped playing music and I am pretty sure it is from me yanking it out to hear my supervisors. We aren’t allowed to have these on the floor, so in that department (unless your supervisors are super observant), they are well hidden and they are a good length. Just be careful with the product.

Silences the sound around you very well so you can hear your tunes. Able to be heard at 160mph on motorcycle.

I don’t have them playing for the entire12 hour shift but I do have them on for about 13hours. So far I like the battery life. The sound quality isn’t as good as a regular pair of earbuds but not as bad as a cheap set of headphones from the 24hr discount store. The noise cancelling part works just can’t hear people talking in the noisy parts of the plant. They aren’t quite as comfortable as my regular ear buds or ear plugs.

Great ear plugs/buds. Not extremely loud but has awesome sound quality and bass. These don’t need to be loud though due to noise cancelation. Without music playing, it’ll be like having standard ear plugs in, with music, you won’t hear any outside noise coming through. Very comfortable and very long cord .

I purchased these to serve as dual purpose . I use them to help cancel noise at work as I am a diesel technician by trade and the environments I work on can be extremely noisy and I also use these at the gym . At work they do a really good job at lowering the surrounding noise and it allows me to continually learn as I prefer to listen to training and financial podcasts . They really shine for me at the gym as I can just about drowned out the music that is blaring in the facility . These provide an excellent range of volume and the battery life is better than any other previous pair I have owned ( 4th different ones I’ve tried ) . Overall I am very happy with this purchase !

Loves these very comfortable and discrete. Working in a factory around loud presses being able to listen to music and still have approved headlines makes the day go much faster

I bought this to try with racing scanner for nascar, its VERY loud there and I was not sure if I could hear the scanner over the noise BUT these worked great. Clear sound. And noise reduction was great.

This is a good set of earphones for working in areas where earplugs are required. I wear mine at my desk and pair it with my phone. When I am in the production areas, no phone, I already have these available foe hearing protection.

Works great to reduce noise. However the sound quality is rather poor. You also really need to crank up the volume to hear anything around noisy or loud equipment.

Have great so far. My only complaint is the noise canceling, but I do work in a factory setting.

I work in a production environment and these work well for the floor. They work well for noise cancellation and I can still listen to my music. The cord length is long enough to tuck both the receiver and the control in the back of my shirt. Definitely would recommend.

Great . Ive used them for quite a while no issues long battery life good sound quality and comfortable. Not giving five stars because the cord is too long and the case is cheap it should have a clip or something and more quality case for the price point but these bad boys have done me well. I ordered replacement comfort tips they are way more comfortable than the foam ones if you plan to use on commercial jobs every day

I waited some months to tell you, these are excellent for downlow secret listening. The spend most their time hanging down my chest getting all over everything so I can hear people while I fix their machines. I have to do that with normal hearing protection too. These have survived months of 6 days a week 12 hours a day hardcore work. It’s hard to hear around the noisiest machines but I don’t spend too long under those Next half year update. Identical to day I bought them, they spend 12 hours a day 6 days a week in my ears or hanging so I can hear machine, I listen to about 6+ hours of streaming radio a day. No one still knows they are Bluetooth and not regular ear plugs.

They are comfortable and work very well the only complaint I would have is that my red pair only charges up to 90% so on the days I start with those is usually the only day that the same pair won’t last the whole 10 hour shift

The product is great, it works well, does what it says. I did have to wait almost 2 months as the first set was faulty, the second set came opened and missing parts, and the third set was fine but that process took forever between shipping back and forth.

the noise reduction was very good, the fit was good and the sound was also very good, buy after about 3 or 4 applications when I tried to remove them the right ear foam piece stayed in my ear and had to be removed by someone else because I couldn’t get a grip on it. They should have lasted longer than that.

I ordered these to replace a shipment from TREBLAB that never showed up. Worked out for the best because my husband loves these. Plugfone makes a great product, TREBLAB I couldn’t tell you, because their product never showed up.

I just wish it came with more foam tips because they get dirty quickly

The sound quality is good considering the cost of these. I tend to snag these a lot so they’d short out at the connect point. Could be a little more durable. These are very comfortable to wear. I use them at work for an average of 6-8hrs a day. Also nice that a additional set of replacement ear buds come with the package.

Absolutely worth the money. I work in a repair shop that is a very hard place for earbuds to be in. These have held up wonderfully for the 9 months I’ve had them. Great battery life make it through a full shift on a charge and then some. I will definitely buy again when. These finally stop working.

I use Plugfones for motorcycling and have for at least 5 years. After going through about a set a year of the original Plugfones I finally burned through my supply. I loved the sound quality and fitment on those, but the cords would always pull out from the driver or lose insulation at the Y making at least one not work (and I think causing random button presses on my Packtalk as well). Of course this would always happen in the middle of a long trip, but they were so good it didn’t matter. The silicone tips on those were great, and though the driver was a bit big it never interfered with anything. It appears the old version may now be called the “guardian” model and have an increased price. Considering the wind noise and other distractions on a motorcycle I figured sound quality was not as important so I picked up this set this time. As soon as I put them in I could tell there was almost no low-end and very little low-mids. There was a ton of digital noise / high pitched static. It is fairly easy to see that the drivers in these are significantly smaller than the older / other model. Still, I figured it would be OK on the motorcycle at speed. I was wrong. They are OK for communication, but the sound is so tinny that to hear it appropriately sometimes you need to turn it up to the point that it is shrill and painful. They suffice, but not very well in the SQ department. As far as fitment – after just ~5 rides in them they now can cause some irritation and itching in my ear. I’ll try to clean them more regularly to see if that helps but that is a ton more maintenance and it does not appear as easy to clean this model since you can’t remove the tip. I like that with the smaller driver and higher flexibility there is almost no way for them to interfere with my helmet, but after those ~5 rides I’m finding it is quite hard to get them to insert properly (yes, even when I pull my earlobe down and do a proper insert). Part of this seems to be that there’s just not really anything good to push on to get them to seat since the whole unit is so flexible. Overall these are passable and certainly better than helmet speakers sitting outside of earplugs (other than the difficulty getting my helmet on – which applies to all plugfones), but I wish I’d spent extra to get the better version. I see that version has yellow tips now, so I hope they haven’t changed from the silicone I knew and loved to a foam similar to this set. All things considered I think a few cents of production upgrades could improve this product significantly, but I wonder if it has been corporatized and / or manufacturing shipped overseas to the lowest bidder. I hope quality improves a bit next time I need to buy.

Sanity Restored! I have got to say that these have made work a bit more tolerable. I work in a factory with forklifts and very noisy machines. If I keep the volume at a medium level I can still hear the horns and backup beeps. To hear conversation on the floor I just take one out without fear that a co-worker will discover music coming from my "earplugs". If a background soundtrack is what your looking for, these are perfect. Just don’t be jamming to the music and forget to be safe. So far I have used them 5 days a week for 8 hours a day and they are still in perfect working order after 4 weeks. I am not overly cautious with them but do try to remove by the plugs, not the wire. Very satisfied and feel these earbuds are worth the money.

UPDATE: So I bought these September 2nd, today is 12/27. Seems like they disconnect more than they did the first couple minutes. No idea if it’s phone related or earbud related, but it seems to happen more with one of my pairs than the other. To fix it I have to go to my device to forget the earbuds, and then I have to repair them. Then they’re fine. I have two pairs, and between the two they get about 36 hours worth of use per weekend. I always have one charging and the other one in my ears, been that way for 4 months now. So I wear these at work to listen mainly to audiobooks. I work in a machine shop, and I couldn’t tell you the exact decibel level, but I know it’s under OSHAs limit requiring ear plugs, I always wore earplugs anyway. These block out the outside noise nearly as well as earplugs of similar construction when not being used to listen to anything. Sound quality to me isn’t that important. As far as I can tell the quality is pretty good. Easy to pair and the buttons are pretty self explanatory. Now for the negatives. Advertised battery life is 10 hours. I didn’t expect to get the full 10, because that’s just how it is. I get about 7-8 hours on a full charge. It would be able to work my full 12 hour day without a charge in the middle. Fortunately, I just bought a second unit, so I listen till the low battery comes on, then switch it out. The cord doesn’t like to stay in place. The included clip is useless. I found the best way is to rest the cord on the back of my neck and cross the ear plugs in front. Might look dumb, but it works. Those last two are fairly trivial, this last one is the only one that really bugs me. It sometimes disconnects out of nowhere. My phone is in my pocket and all of a sudden my audiobook stops and all I hear is “disconnected”. So I have to turn it off and then back on and it connects right away. It take 30 seconds to a minute to do, and it’s just a pain in the rear if I’m busy.

I’m on my second pair, they are not meant to last forever folks… I’m a welder, so the fact they even manage to last a week is great! Like I said I’m on my 2nd pair in 6 months. And that’s working 10-12 hour shifts 6-7 days a week….I do clean them with alcohol every night just to try and keep them clean. So I’m ok with the price the quality is good plus just to be able to sneak music in is worth it to me.

Great sound, even the bass kinda suprised me, super comfortable and great while working in a machine shop.

Use the headphones everyday with the battery tucked under my tee shirt and the little clip attached to the back of my collar. Nobody has even asked about them because they look and are legit safety rated earplugs…it just so happens these have a little secret lol. Best part, you can pack them deep into the ear and seal out most sound or wear them a little lighter and still hear what’s going on around you. Makes my 8/9 hour shift fly by a little easier when I’m listening to stuff. Now at first, I thought it might be distracting but it actually helped my work because I’m focused better. Even if I pause the media they are still solid little earplugs. Battery lasts the whole shift. Your phone may die before these do. Highly recommend if you want to drown out annoying coworkers. 5 star imo. Game changer.

I wear these for work. I use the pugs that came already attached. And they only last two days. Then I used the other pair. They are a little small. But as long as you insert these properly they work well. I work in an extremely loud factory.

Bought these for motorcycle road trips hoping they would work as earplugs to block wind noise and also work as earbuds so I could listen to music while I’m riding. They did exactly that. Wind noise is greatly reduced and music is clear. They’re comfortable too. If you ride 70mph or more they aren’t much good. Just keep your speed under 70 if you want to hear them. Over 70 they make great earplugs. The Bluetooth connection is good for 50-60 feet and they reconnect as soon as you’re back in range. The best way I found to wear them is to put them around my neck with the retaining clip in front. The retaining clip does not stay on the wires very well so I put a small o ring on it and it holds the wire fine. The wires could be a little longer. If you have an 18” neck you’ll need to just let the wires hang in front. I have played music at 80-100% volume for 7-8 hrs and the battery still has power. I recommend these things. They are a little spendy but so is a good set of Bluetooth ear buds.

Supervisor has no idea I’m listening to music, sound quality is great

Out of all the ear phones I have purchased in the past. These are by far the best ones because I can insert them in my ears and don’t have to worrying about them falling out like other brands I have worn. I have small ears and narrow outer canal which makes it difficult for ear buds to accommodate the wear. The sound quality is astonishing. I wore them during my workout on the treadmill this morning and they allowed me to stay focused and finish my one hour cardio session without any discomfort. I most definitely will purchase these again in the future.

I wanted to use them on my riding lawnmower, listening to podcast. They do cut out a lot of background noise but not enough to block the riding mower. They would be great for flights, or as a passenger in a car. Happy to have them and will use them on other projects.

I give this product a 4 star, it would be a five, but due to the fact that the plugphone cannot use the big foam earplugs as well due to the fact that there is a speaker, I would love to see if someone in this world can engineer a "Squish able" speaker to put into a plugfone. I originally bought this because I ride a loud bike and I like to go fast, i have a 2004 suzuki GSXR 600, Yes I’m a gixxer lover, but anyways, I conducted several tests on this product before I came to this review, I based them on: Sound (music), Noise cancelation, and comforbility. The music I think in my opinion was just like any headphone out there, good but not amazing to say if you were to spend the money on something that produces bass. Don’t get me wrong, I had my bike doing over 100 MPH, and the music sounded great, best part is, I had it turned up 3/4 way because that’s all it needed. I’ve used headphones in the past and they all slid out of my ears under my helmet while riding so I would loose the music, but plugphone stayed in no matter how hard I rode, and the music was even good with my visor up, lots of wind blowing into my helmet and I still only heard a faint sound of my exhaust and the music. Which brings me to the noise cancelation, for this test I had my music turned off to allow it to be Just a regular ear plug. And to my surprise, it worked better then some of the ear plugs I have, at the 100mph test i was able to hear my surroundings and my exhaust perfectly fine but it wasn’t loud enough to wear it would be like not wearing any pertection. Which brings me to the last part, comforbility. Most general headphones would come out, any other fellow riders know what I’m talking about, not only did the plugfone stay in, when I went to remove my helmet (Full faced helmet) I do as I always do even when putting it on, I grab the straps, extend them outward to allow more room for my ears. And to my surprise THEY STAYED IN, I was astonished by that, after having them in for 20 minutes, my ears did start to hurt, but that’s due to the fact that I pushed them in as far as I could to get best results. But overall, I would recommend this product to other motorcycle riders, the product is fragile just like any other headphone out there, but the thing is the guys and or gals down at plugfone nailed this . 4/5 stars from this greatful customer.

Simply amazing! I use these at work in a call center environment to do customer chats/e-mail style work.This blocks out the noise of people talking in the room completely. I cannot hear the person next to me talking if I have these in and my music on medium-low volume. This has been an absolute life saver in terms of helping me stay focused. For the people who have a defective ear bud – I was ready to blow up today thinking I also had the issue. I only had the faintest sound out of the right side if I cranked the volume up to max. It turns out the little cavity inside the foam gets bits of the foam and wax inside. I made an improvised cleaning tool with a post-it note folded around in a pointed shape. I pushed this in the plastic opening and gave it a few gentle twists. Bingo. Volume back to normal. I’m willing to bet a lot of the sudden ear bud death issues are due to this where the bud isn’t actually dead. The plastic hole is so tiny that it is easily blocked if not cleaned.

If you need tunes where you shouldn’t have them (you know who you are) and want the exact look of “ear plugs” with the bonus of having them as well as your tunes….then this is your product. There is plenty of cord length to run down the back of your shirt to conceal that extra length. I only dinged this product by the loss of one star due to having experienced high end Bluetooth earbuds. But honestly for what you are getting it is a nice sound quality. I recommend the Bluetooth adapter which can be plugged into them to work with iPhone whom doesn’t have a headphone jack.

I needed ear protection for mowing the lawn and these sound protecting ear buds are perfect, even for my small ear canals. Soft material is easy to push in and remove. Easy to clean if needed. I recommend these for hearing protection and provide acceptable speaker performance as well.

When I first got these I was not impressed with the sound. It sounded kind of muffled and not very loud but after looking at them I noticed that the speaker was partially blocked by the ear plugs part. The end of the speaker was about 1/8" from the end of the ear plugs and it would close up on the speaker when in use Trimmed the back of the ear plugs to allow the speaker to sit further in to the ear plugs and now the sound great. Would of given 5 stars but I had to do the work that should be done before I got them. You know I had to earn my gold star for the day too.

They last me all day at work even in the heat they have a nice bass they cancel out sounds extremely well they charge fast I wish it was a c type charger tho

Despite catching the wires on obstructions, and lots of use, these still work very well. My original pair was 2 years old, with a lot of use, and still work just fine. I bought a back up pair, just because they are reasonably priced and I use them so much.

So far they’re working.

My house sits on 4 acres and that’s quite a bit of mowing. I use my Plugfones under ear muff style hearing protection to enjoy music and cancel out the noise of my mowerT his was my second set of Plugphnes. My orinal set were about 3 years old and had become damaged due to negligence on my part. This Plugfone provide comfort, easily worn under rmuffs and will remain in place once inserted properly. Perfect for my needs.

These plugfones have made work musically better! I honestly never thought I would run into something like this but randomly after days of searching, I found these. I work 10hr shifts and have the plugfones linked to my galaxy watch which has my music on it since I cant have my phone with me at work. I have yet to have the battery die during a shift although my watch barely makes it or dies right before shift end. I comment them while my watch is in airplane mode which helps the watch stay longer but I haven’t had a battery issue with the headset yet. Sound quality is acceptable. It’s not Bose…maybe slightly better than a walmart cheap pair of headphones but…music is music. They really do look like earplugs. That’s the awesome part. I tuck the cord into my shirt so all that can be seen is a blue cord and yellow earplugs, no control or counterweight. I have had a constant issue with the plugfones seeming to get an intermittently poor connection for a second randomly. It happens about 6-8 times in a 10hr shift so I cant complain that much about it. The song will skip or slow down for a moment and then it’s back to normal. This is probably the only issue I’ve had and I knew it was possible since others have mentioned it in reviews. Overall I would say that I’m incredibly happy that someone actually invented these. Do I think they should be sold at $50? Well..there isnt really anyone else selling them so more power to them. Are they worth that? Honestly, not really but they conceal the fact that I have music and they work pretty well as a whole. I paid $50 because music while I work is worth that much to me.

Great for noise cancellation. Purchased for when I mow the lawn and works well. Not so impressed by the sound quality though. At this price range, I expected better quality.

I hook these up to my Sena 10C Evo while riding and my goodness my rides are like night and day prior to this. I have a modular helmet and when wearing plugfones the wind noise is barely noticeable at highway speeds. The silicone piece seems to fit more snug and comfortable to me but it’s nice to have multiple options.

Exactly what I was looking for. Looks exactly like the normal ear plugs. No one knows the difference. Sound quality isn’t the greatest for music (as expected), but perfect for listening to podcast for 8hrs at work. Also they do work very well at cancelling outside noise like a normal earplug, which makes you able to hear them much better without cranking them up. I would agree they do seem a little fragile and likely built to not last forever. At this price I figured I’d try them anyways. I am very careful and protective of them so we will see how long they last. So far great still at the two-week mark. I’m very happy with these so far.

Use them at work, they look just like and work like regular earplug. They actually block sound better than the ones my factory provides. This is the second pair I bought the first pair one ear went out after 4-5 months, but I think they are worth the money to not have silence.

The sound quality isn’t very good for the money but they are what I was looking for. I used them last night at work for around 6 hours and there is still over half battery life left and nobody even noticed I was listening to music.

Got these for work, music sounds like trash thru these but audiobooks and podcasts sound great. That’s what I wanted them for anyway. They last about 10 hours before they need to be charged. I work in a very loud environment and these do actually reduce the noise very well. I recommend these but just realize if music is your reason they will severely disappoint you, but voice like audible and podcasts sound great.

Used at work. Held up good for 3 months Under constant abuse.

I got these for my husband who plays music and sometimes likes to go see live bands. He normally uses the disposable type earplugs so these were a step up. He said that these are more comfortable and he feels like he can still hear the music without it being so muffled that it’s not appreciable but does not have the ear ringing the next day like he would get with cheaper plugs The only downside to these is the expense and that they are not disposable so you have to be more careful not to lose them. I wish it came with spare orange replacement covers

I had reservations about spending the money on earphones. Conveniently, they arrived a few days before the blizzard that just hit the Northeast. They worked great while I was using my snowblower and I was able to actually hear my music over the machine which was a nice change of pace from my current buds. The sound quality is outstanding in my opinion. Final note; I always have had a hard time with ear buds staying in my ear. My left ear, for whatever reason, the bud has always fallen out. Not with these which alone is worth the price. Absolutely would purchase again!

These are perfect for yard work. Totally block out the motor noise and stay in your ears comfortably. The sound is pretty good but does distort at higher volumes but they stay put all day. All the other Bluetooth earbuds I have tried are frustrating because I have to stop and put them back in my ear or, they don’t block the ambient noise. They are a little pricey but the battery will last all day. They will also drowned out the annoying coworker that won’t stop talking.

The plugfones have an excellent sound quality. The only issue I have is that I wish the range was a little further.

Good product

This’s my 3rd pare of plugfones in the past 6 or 7 years as i abuse the hell out of them at work as a welder. They work fantastic for several reasons. One if your like me and are not allowed to wear headphones at work & work in a place where earplugs are common then these r the only way to go! They have several styles that match several different versions of the 3m brand earplugs (which are the best) so you blend right in at work as the shape, size, and color is a perfect match. It is nice because unlike regular headphones/earphones Plugfones also work how they look, as actual earplugs. Which is obviously good for safety reasons but is also great because u can hear your music better using these on a loud jobsite because they actually keep out the surrounding noise as earplugs are designed to do unlike regular headphones/earphones where u have to crank the music louder to drown out the background noise. In all honesty they obviously don’t sound as good as a pair of Bose earphones or whatever but alot of that is also because they are actual earplugs so the sound is literally going through a small 1/16" hole. So no matter how fantastic the mini speakers are made they can never sound as good coming through a very tiny hole. Don’t get me wrong as they definitely sound good but they are designed for the reasons I listened above. They are an excellent safety version of headphones and they are ideal for anyone that works in a shop or a jobsite. This was my 1st time buying this exact version as these ones have the built in mic with volume controls right on he cord so it can be used to talk on the phone similar to the ones that come with most good phones now. This kind also has replaceable plugs themselves (the actual earplug piece) so u can replace them as they get real dirty, which is definitely worth the extra money compared to the standard version. If you’re considering buying some of these but don’t wanna spend the money to get these u can also buy what I originally bought my other 2 times which is the basic version. The basic version has no mic, no volume control buttons, and the ear pieces aren’t replaceable. So if u do dirty work like me as a welder then they really need to be cleaned at the end of each day otherwise they get pretty nasty, as I’m sure they would eventually anyhow just from ear crud! While it’s obviously not as nice to have to take better care of them due to the ear piece not being replaceable, it is a cheaper version so u can decide how much u really wanna spend on them. Because they do have even better versions still! As of a year or so ago they now also have a Bluetooth version which is just awesome! Those ones are obviously more expensive since they’re Bluetooth but are really cool for sure! Those ones just have the connecting cord that goes behind your neck so they look even more like regular earplugs since u don’t have the wire dangling down to your phone anymore, which kinda makes it obviously they aren’t regular earplugs. If u do get one of the corded versions what I do is I run the cord down inside the back of my shirt so that the cord going into my phone isn’t visible to all my bosses (only because we’re not allowed to use headphones at my work). I personally prefer the 3m style yellow silicone version with the blue cord as that’s what’s most common at my work, plus they’re really comfortable. But my work carries several types and colors of the 3m corded earplugs and Plugfones actually makes a version to match them all, and they carry whichever u prefer whether the silicone or the foam versions. So these things are definitely worth getting! 👍👍👍

FINALLY- Simple, foam, noise-blocking earbuds! Fits nicely in my narrow ears, the sound is clear. These are just your basic listening earbuds – perfect for listening to music while moving – the foam really blocks outside sounds and keeps the buds in place. I had an expensive set of foam noise blocking ear buds…wore those out after 5 great years and tried to find new ones…manufacturer stopped making the kind I like. 🙂 I have been searching for over two years, my desk is littered with ‘not right’ options I have been purchasing with high-hopes. Now I have these, and they are perfect!

I have to do yard work which includes a chainsaw. It is much trial and error with these as there are no instructions provided. Once the are figured out they are amazing. To the manufacturer: PLEASE PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS!

I use these at work , work in powdered paint both, have big paint suit on and these work perfect and boss likes them too cuz they are safety plugs !!

As a earbud they are cheap and obviously sound quality was not their main focus. But they are convincing for earplugs and feel much better than the typical earplugs they mimic, they “feel” like they give the same amount of noise isolation. They are great for what they are trying to be but man do i wish they had a little more on the lowend.

They stay charged for a good 11 hours on a full charge, they made it through my work shift and I am quite happy with them and they actually have nice base and sound and I fooled my bosses into thinking they were regular ear plugs

Noise cancellation is way more than I expected. Though I understand why, still sad that there is not much bass so the sound quality suffers in that department. Everything else about these is amazing and very well built and priced.

Ok Ill start by saying I read reviews of these and was leary but purchased anyway and so far one week in and 8 hrs a day they have been pretty good. The sound suppression as far a hearing protection works for what I need however in a very loud environment the silicone plugs wont cut it, Im sure the foamies will work better but there are not replacements for them and foamies are not cleanable. As for the sound quality, Certain songs come through a little tinny but what do you expect from a tiny speaker, sound quality depends on getting them to the right depth in your ear. Battery life has been great 8 hr shift no charging. You cant pause play on an mp3 player but volume adjust works. The range actually surprises me at times. Now to the important part the battery and controls hide under your shirt collar so far no one has questioned that they are ear plugs and I get to keep listening to my music so the night goes by faster. All in all Id definitely buy them again. I use these with a sandisk sport mp3 player that has bluetooth.

I have tried other brands, these work and stay in my ears. In addition, I can hear the music very good even on the lowest volume level and still hear changes with my mower engine and deck. While headsets would probably do okay, in the south Texas sun, they would get sweaty and I might not be able to wear my large brim hat. Regardless, I have learned the best way to extend the life of any ear plugs is too clean your ears before use.

My dad and I each buy a pair of these about every 8 months or so. They tend to either start distorting the sound or stop working in one ear after a while. They still work great and are comfortable, which is why we continue to buy. The noise cancelling works so well that one of my friends at college made it a point to sneak up on me in as many creative ways as possible while I was listening to music.

I bought these since I work in a factory with loud machinery and I got tired of hearing the same noises for 12-hours straight. No complaints when it comes to quality, just don’t pull them out of your ears by the cord, you’ll probably damage them. The length of the cord is perfect. I’m able to run it under my clothes to my pockets with plenty of cable left. The sound quality is actually fantastic. I was surprised how clear the tones are and the bass is insane for these little things. The tips can easily be removed for cleaning. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because I was hoping it would block out more noise. The earplugs they give us at work are rated the same as these, yet these do not block out as much noise so that is odd. It is enough for what I do, just wish it was a little better when it comes to noise reduction. I highly recommend this product. I’ve already talked a few guys at work into ordering a pair.

Blocks out noise like ear plugs, and work like decent ear buds. The package came with a ribbed plastic earplug and a foam set. I drill concrete a lot, and these plugs both protect my hearing, and let me keep in my musical zone. They look professional when you’re working, and they’re a great alternative to "power boxes" when you’re on a site that doesn’t allow worksite wide music. The plugs failed at about 5 months, the manufacturer sent me a new set without question. Plugfones are legit as hell.

I am required to wear earplugs at my workplace even though my particular area doesn’t have much noise. These allow me to listen to podcasts/audiobooks when able to and not have to switch out earbuds for earplugs when needed. I keep the wire looped around my ponytail and covered with a head scarf so that it isn’t obvious they are bluetooth and so far, no one has questioned me about them. They work just as well as standard earplugs for that purpose, keep me from getting a safety violation, and work good enough for what I would use earbuds for. They aren’t the greatest for music though, especially if you like a lot of bass, but they’re not the worst either.

Use these when mowing with my garden tractor. Decent sound and better hearing protection than my $300 custom molded ear monitors

Lasted me exactly 346 days. After about 9 months one side started cutting in and out, I was okay with that. But less then a full year into its purchase the whole headset ha seized to play any sound. I’ll be ordering ankther pair hoping that this second pair will last longer.

Battery life isn’t terrible. Sound quality isnt the greatest. They do seem kind of cheap. But for the price, it’s a decent deal.

First pair we bought was great until they stopped working (washed them multiple times in pockets). The identical pair we bought to replace them worked for exactly 30 days, no rough handling of the headphones or anything. On day 31, one earbud stopped working. 30 day return window. Edited to add: company made it right, and is sending a replacement under their warranty window.

Great, I use it on the motorbike. The cords are a little too long for me.
